In January-August the port of Vyborg handled 808,900 tons of cargo, down by 18% YoY, says the Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo fell by 10% to 675,100 tons including 344,000 tons of mineral fertilizers (-19%) and 303,800 tons of coal and coke (+3%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo fell by 80% to 21,600 tons, liquid bulk cargo – down 1.20% to 33,500 tons.
Transport of general cargo climbed by 39% to 46,900 tons, transshipment of forest products totaled 31,800 tons (-34%).
In 2015, the port of Vyborg handled 1.55 million tons of cargo (-8%). (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
