Rosinterbank, included in Russia’s 100 largest banks in terms of assets, has completely stopped providing services to its clients, the bank said.
“Individual and corporate clients will not be serviced at Rosinterbank’s offices and branches starting from September 15, in order to stabilize the bank’s financial performance”, the bank’s statement said.
A source reported that the Central bank disconnected Rosinterbank from its Banking Electronic Speedy Payment System (BESP).
Rosinterbank ranked 68th as of late June with assets standing at 102.3 billion rubles. In accordance with the bank’s latest financial report, retail deposits with the bank exceed 55 billion rubles.
The Central bank said in a statement it had appointed the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) as a provisional administration at Rosinterbank for six months due to the bank’s unstable state. (Prime/Business World Magazine)
