16 regions of Ukraine started the planting campaign of winter grains. As of September 12, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 298 thousand ha (4% of the plan), as opposed to 293 thousand ha on the same date last year, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine declared.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 284 thousand ha (5%), rye – 8 thousand ha (6%), and barley – 5 thousand ha (1%).
Also, agrarians continued planting winter rapeseed. As of the reporting date, Ukraine planted rapeseed throughout 625 thousand ha (86%).
Agrarians already prepared the soil for winter crops planting throughout 6.99 million ha (86%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
