As of September 12, Russian agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested grain crops throughout the general areas of 37.4 million ha (on the same date in 2015 – 32.5 million ha), or 79.2% of the planned areas (47.3 million ha). The produced volumes reached 101 million tons of grains, with the average yield of 2.7 ton/ha (in 2015 – 81.5 million tons with the yield of 2.51 ton/ha), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 23.5 million ha (84.9% of the plan). The produced volumes reached 69.8 million tons, with the yield of 2.97 ton/ha.
Russia harvested 18 million tons of winter and spring barley throughout 7.6 million ha (90.7%). The average yield totaled 2.37 ton/ha.
Agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 184.9 thousand ha (6.4%), and produced 938.5 thousand tons of corn, with the average yield at 5.07 ton/ha.
Also, Russia harvested rapeseed throughout 486.6 thousand ha (48.9%), and produced 660.9 thousand tons of the rapeseed, with the average yield of 1.36 ton/ha.
Russian agrarians continued the sunflower seed harvesting campaign. Agrarians harvested over 1 million tons of the sunflower seed throughout 491.2 thousand ha (6.6%). The average yield totaled 2.12 ton/ha.
Also, agrarians started harvesting soybeans: the harvested areas reached 198.1 thousand ha, the produced volumes – 365.1 thousand tons, the average yield – 1.84 ton/ha.
Russia harvested flaxseed throughout 32.2 thousand ha only, or 66.9% of the planted areas.
As of September 12, Russian agrarians planted winter crops for the harvest-2017 throughout 7.4 million ha, or 42.7% of the planned areas (in 2015 – 6.7 million ha). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
