Kaliningrad region is looking into a possibility of compensating shipping costs when it comes to cargoes delivered by sea to the region from the mainland Russia and back, Vladimir Zhovtun, head of the Transport Development Department at the regional Ministry of Infrastructure Development, said.
According to him, this mechanism is already applied to railway transportations with 1 billion rubles of subsidies covering the period up to 2020. (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
