Yovon district of Khatlon region has become a major industrial center of the country. This was stated by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, speaking on Monday, September 5, in the course of putting into operation new enterprises of the TALCO chemistry concern.
He noted that the industrial might of the Yovon district in recent years has increased with the opening of several large industrial enterprises. In general, according to the President, the number of industrial facilities located in the territory of Yovon district, after opening today of three new enterprises for the production of raw materials for Tajik aluminum company, has reached 40 units.
Rahmon stressed that a few days ago the railway Dushanbe – Yovon – Kurgan-Tyube – Kulyab was opened, which “is of great importance for the further development of industrial sector of Khatlon region, in particular of Yovon region”.
