The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is determined to speed up the process of associating the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU, includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) with China’s Silk Road project, the EEC press-service said in a statement.
The EEC has launched relevant talks with China. The parties conducted the first round of talks on the level of working groups in August, the next round is due in October. The parties seek to find mutually beneficial trade-economic solutions and speed up the process of associating the EEU with the Silk Road project, EEC Board Chairman Tigran Sargsyan said.
The EEC is currently promoting free trade deals with Iran, India and Singapore. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
