According to official data, as of August 26, Russian farmers had threshed 29.2 million ha (61.9%) of grains and legumes against 25.7 million ha on the same date in 2015. 86.2 MMT was harvested with average yield of 2.95 MT/ha (in 2015 – 69.3 MMT with 2.7 MT/ha).
Wheat was threshed from 18.1 million ha (65.3%) against 15.6 million ha. Farmers gathered 60.3 MMT with average yield at 3.33 MT/ha (3.06 MT/ha in 2015).
Barley was harvested from 6.4 million ha (76.4%). Gross production reached 16.05 MMT, and the average yield was 2.52 MT/ha (2.39 MT/ ha in 2015).
Corn was harvested from 8.5 thousand ha (0.3%) against 36 thousand ha on the same date in 2015. Farmers gathered 44.3 KMT with average yield at 5.22 MT/ha (4.4 MT/ha in 2015). (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
