High-level officials from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on August 11, met in Riga to discuss the Intergovernmental Agreement between the states on Rail Baltica railway project implementation. According to Lithuania’s Ministry of Transport and Communications, it was the second round of consultations, after the first on held at the beginning of June.
Representatives covered a wide range of issues, with a focus on the management of the infrastructure, as well as the access to the infrastructure.
With a view to finalize the draft agreement text, representatives agreed to convene additional meeting in Tallinn, if needed, in September. After that, it is expected that draft agreement will be put for consultations with national institutions and governments in each respective country. (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
