Mubarek Gas Processing Plant will have completed the project on production of granulated sulfur with nominal value of 80,000 tons a year by the end of 2016.
Realization of the project will allow improving quality of the product up to international ecologic standards.
The product will be comfortable for transportation, storage and processing, which will increase its competitiveness in internal and external markets.
Mubarek Gas Processing Plant plans to complete one more large project in upcoming years and replace old capacities. Currently, the company works on development of the project documentation for the construction of a new unit for production of sulfur from acid gases, which come from existing desulphurization installations.
Its capacity will be 57,000 cubic meters of acid gases an hour and produce 280,000 tons of sulfur a year.
Mubarek Gas Processing Plant was put into operation in 1971. Currently, the plant capacity is about 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas, over 570,000 tons of gas condensate and 417,000 tons of sulfur a year. (UzDaily/Business World Magazine)
