New contracts of Belarus’ leasing companies dropped 2.4 times YoY in January-June to Br270.7 million ($140.3 million) as of July 1.
Belarus’ Association of Lease Providers posted these figures in its semiannual report.
The total portfolio of lease contracts stood at Br2.367 billion ($1.227 billion) as of July 1, down by 3.5% since January 1.
The portfolio of lease contracts with corporate customers decreased by 4.8% since early 2016 to Br2.294 billion ($1.189 billion) – a total of 26,491 contracts (down by 27.3%).
The portfolio of personal lease contracts grew by 64.1% to Br73.82 million ($38.3 million).
Financial lease contracts dropped 2.6 times since January 1, to Br408.7 million ($211.9 million).
The structure of leasing items in H1 2016: buildings and constructions accounted for 11.25% of the total portfolio of leased assets; machines and equipment – 30.83%, vehicles – 53.4%, other leased assets – 4.52%.
Overdue leasing fees totaled Br34.86 million ($18.1 million) as of July 1, down by 16.2% since early 2016. Overdue leasing fees accounted for 6.45% of the total volume of leasing payments in H1 2016. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
