Summarizing the results of soil moisture content analysis held in mid-August, soil moisture stocks are good at major part of cornfields. Due to rains in the first ten days of August, waterlogging remains a problem in some areas of Vitebsk and in the west of Minsk region where precipitation was often seen.
At the same time, the area with soil moisture deficit expanded due to rainfall shortage in the south-east of the country. Productive soil moisture stocks are low in many territories of Gomel, in the east of Brest and in the south-west of Mogilev region. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
