The government of Russia prolonged the period for mandatory disposal of the foodstuffs under counter-sanctions which were illegally imported to the territory of the Russian Federation, until December 31, 2017. The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed the corresponding decree on August 10.
According to the document, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) will continue fulfilling disposal procedures.
The decree of mandatory disposal of food products covers meat, sausage products, dairy products and some other products, started operating in Russia in August 2015. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
