Electricity and heating tariffs will not increase in 2016. The Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov announced this during a conference call on the preparation for the heating season.
According to him, such an order was received from the head of the country Almazbek Atambayev. However, the current tariff policy does not allow power companies to cover the costs.
He instructed the State Agency for Regulation of Fuel and Energy Complex to work out a draft tariff policy for 2017. In addition, the power companies will conduct audit of financial and economic activity. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
