Freight throughput at Primorsky Krai-based Port of Nakhodka in January-July rose by 12.8% YoY, to 13,592,000 tons, the Authority of Primorsky Krai & Eastern Arctic Seaports said.
Shipments of dry bulk cargo increased by 24.1% to 9,708,000 tons. Petroleum products volume shrank by 8.3% to 3,8 million tons.
The Port of Nakhodka is located on the Eastern section of Peter the Great Gulf, in Nakhodka Bay and is connected to all destination points of the Eurasian continent and the Trans-Siberian Railway, assisting trade flows between Asia and Europe. Nakhodka port is able to unload 500 railcars a day. In addition, 300,000 square meters of warehousing premises are located at the port. (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
