As much as 750 million Russian rubles (RUB) will be poured into the Russian-Belarusian machine-building cluster based in Russia’s Cherepovets in the next decade, reads a message posted on the official web site of the governor of Russia’s Vologda Region.
The regional government of Russia’s Vologda Region, Cherepovets Mayor’s Office, Cherepovets Castings Factory, Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) and Dorelektromash (Smolevichi, Minsk Region) on August 5, signed a memorandum of intention to establish a machine-building cluster, which will specialize in manufacturing special-purpose tractor equipment for farming and timber production.
