The scheduled repair of Nord Stream for the period from August 9 through August 17 has resulted in a rise in Russian gas transit across the Ukrainian gas transport system to Europe by 20%, spokesman of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz Maksym Beliavsky has said.
“Due to repair of Nord Stream gas pumping by Ukraine to Europe grew by 20%, to 275 million cubic meters”, he wrote on his Facebook page.
Beliavsky said that on August 7, gas transit was 220 million cubic meters and on August 8 – 230 million cubic meters.
Earlier Nord Stream announced the complete stoppage of Nord Stream gas pipeline with a capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas a year passing the Baltic Sea towards Germany.
