Russian sellers set prices of iPhones themselves, Apple said in response to coordination charges brought against the U.S. company by the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
“Resellers form their own prices for Apple’s products, which they sell in Russia as well as worldwide”, an official at Apple said.
The antitrust watchdog saw signs of coordination of prices by 16 resellers of the iPhone that resulted in flat retail prices. Some of the companies said earlier they set prices on the basis of market conditions. (Prime/Business World Magazine)
