In 2016 Russia will harvest at least 110 million tons of grains, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Evgeny Gromyko declared.
According to him, all factors support such forecast – both harvesting campaign rates, and the level of preparation in the regions.
Alslo, Gromyko noted the growth of the average yield of grain crops in Russia, which reached the level of 4.15 t/ha, against 3.7 t/ha in the same period last year.
In late June the Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev forecast the grain harvest in the current year on the level of 106 million tons, and in the case of favorable weather conditions the index might reach 110 million tons. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
