Ukrainian businessman Borys Kaufman intends to acquire a controlling stake in Platinum Bank (Kyiv) in the amount of 75% plus one share.
According to the press service of Kaufman, on August 1, he filed a package of documents to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to obtain permission.
Kaufman intends to participate in subscription to new shares and inject 120 million UAH in the bank’s charter capital.
“I’ve been cooperating with Platinum Bank in different directions of business for a long time and I’ve always highly appreciated the level of management, culture, values, and the bank’s philosophy. Therefore I am ready to build up the controlling stake and participate in the additional issue of 120 million UAH”, the press service quoted Kaufman.
Kaufman is the founder of Vertex United investment company, which consists of hotel assets (Bristol, Londonskaya, President-Hotel), media assets (Focus magazine, Focus. Beautiful Country, the focus.ua website) and investment projects. Kaufman is also the co-owner of Ukraine’s largest distribution company Tedis Ukraine. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
