About 600 enterprises, which earlier did not export their goods, started to ship their products to foreign states in the first half of 2016, a publication of the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The enterprises began to export 208 new products. The geography of supplies increased by 44 new markets.
Uzbekistan started to export automobiles to the UAE and South Africa, engines and their components to Great Britain, tire disks to Latvia, automobile generators to South Korea, wine and vodka products to USA and Israel, polyethylene and polypropylene to China, Turkey, South Korea, Latvia and Afghanistan, mineral fertilizers to Sweden, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Indonesia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, etc.
Compared with the same period of last year, the country increased physical volumes of exports of polyethylene (18.8 times), molybdenum products (2.5 times), suprefos (1.9 times), ammonium sulfate (1.3 times), trucks (1.3 times), ferrous metals (1.3 times), knitted fabric (2,2 times), cotton textiles (1.4 times), and other products with high added value.
Uzbekistan exported 354,000 tons of fresh and processed fruit and vegetables (+1.3 times), including over 270,000 tons of vegetables and over 130,000 tons of fruit and grapes, as well as 1,300 tons of melons. (UzDaily/Business World Magazine)
