The growth of gross regional product of Karakalpakstan made up 21.2% in January-June 2016. The volume of industrial production reached 1.88 trillion soums.
Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex was put into operation ahead of schedule, and during the reporting period it produced products valued at 849 billion soums.
In the Aral Sea region, in accordance with the investment program for 2016, the volume of utilized investments due to all sources made up 1.9 trillion soums. Some 65 social facilities were launched in the reporting period.
Within the program of socio-economic development, 1261 projects worth 78 billion soums were realized in the reporting period.
Construction of Titan Cement with the cost of 10.6 billion soums and $17 million was completed in Karauzyak district. The plant was commissioned and it will produce 200,000 tons of cement a year.
