Shokhrukh Shoakhmedov was appointed the deputy chairman of Uzbekistan’s Central Bank according to a decree of President Islam Karimov, the Central Bank said.
Shoakhmedov was heading the Central Bank’s central administrative board in Tashkent.
Uzbekistan’s Central Bank is tasked to regulate money circulation and activities of commercial banks in the country.
Currently 26 banks operate in Uzbekistan. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
