The Institute of Economics and Demography at the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan predicts that external factors will impact Tajikistan’s economy until 2019.
“According to forecasts of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the external factors will continue to affect the country’s economy in 2018-2019”, Lutfullo Saidmurodov, Director of the Institute of Economics and Demography, said.
“The external negative factors will stop affecting the country’s economy in 2019. In accordance with these forecasts, we have proposed to retain the economic growth rate at 6-7%. In this case, we will be able to protect our economy against negative impacts”, Saidmurodov said.
The academician, however, did not say whether the economic crisis had reached its peak in Tajikistan or not. (Asia-Plus/Business World Magazine)
