Chinese business delegation comprised of representatives of several major corporations visited Uzbekistan.
They attended a business forum with participation of business circles of the two countries. The State Committee of Republic Uzbekistan for investments organised the event.
Welcoming the participants, Deputy Prime Minister Ulugbek Rozukulov noted that the two countries had established a strategic partnership based on mutual respect and trust. Based on this solid foundation, Uzbekistan and China consistently develop mutually beneficial ties in many directions.
“Today China is number one trade partner of Uzbekistan. More than 700 companies with participation of Chinese capital operate in Uzbekistan. Dozens of joint projects of strategic significance have been implemented over recent years”, said Rozukulov.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan Sun Lijie said that Beijing with great enthusiasm had apprehended news about the establishment of this committee. He said this event would be an important stage in the work to improve the national investment climate and attracting foreign investment.
In the framework of the business forum, representatives of government agencies and private companies of Uzbekistan held a presentation of projects to be implemented jointly with Chinese partners. Special attention was given to favourable opportunities in the territories of free economic zones, operational benefits and preferences to start and do business. (UzReport/Business World Magazine)
