In January-February Big Port St. Petersburg handled 8.09 million tons of cargo (up by 7% YoY).
According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 6%, to 1.24 million tons, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 15%, to 1.28 million tons, general cargo – by 8%, to 1.88 million tons, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – by 27%, to 112,500 tons.
The port’s container throughput increased by 5.2%, to 292,180 TEUs.
In 2016, the port handled 48.62 million tons of cargo, its container throughput was 1.74 million TEUs. (Portnews/Business World Magazine)
