The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev had marked the main task of 2017 during his speech at the Cabinet of Ministers’ expanded session.
“We have to ensure the export of products in the amount of $10.8 billion”, said the head of state and defined the tasks needed to be solved.
The first task – within 15 days to provide detailed elaboration and approval at a session of a special commission of an action program with regards to all exporting enterprises.
The second task – implementation of contracts signed in 2016 at international industrial fairs held in Tashkent and abroad on supplying of products in the total amount of $7.7 billion.
“We need to continue the work on seeking new sales markets, including more actively in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Belarus, as well as in other countries. The mandate for the establishment of such cooperation with Bulgaria remained without any result. Our diplomatic mission must be involved more actively in this task. The first vice-chairman of the Senate S. Safaev and Foreign Minister A. Kamilov have to set a control for that”, stressed the President.
The third task – exports by small businesses and private entrepreneurship entities, under JSC “Uztadbirkorexport” and “Uzsanoatexport”, as well as the Fund under the National Bank, are required to ensure export volume no less than $1.5 billion.
The fourth task – export of fruit and vegetables.
“I charge the Deputy Prime Minister Z. Mirzaev to make a scrutiny within 15 days the causes of incomplete delivery of fruit and vegetables in the past year worth $650 million and bring specific proposals. We must certainly take into consideration potentials and opportunities of 66 specialized districts of the republic. From now on, khokims of these regions and their deputies are directly responsible for the implementation of these tasks”, he said. (UzReport/Business World Magazine)
