Ukrainian coal mining companies increased production by 1.7% YoY in January-November (by 629,700 tons), to 37.003 million tons.
A source in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported that coking coal production increased by 3.5% (by 261,700 tons), to 7.695 million tons, steam coal output was up by 1.3% (by 368,000 tons), to 29.308 million tons.
Coal mining enterprises managed by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry in January-November reduced production by 14.3% (by 877,200 tons), to 5.276 million tons, in particular output of coking coal decreased by 21% (by 379,500 tons), to 1.425 million tons, steam coal by 11.4% (by 497,700 tons), to 3.851 million tons.
Mines in Donetsk region in the 11 months of this year produced 14.239 million tons of coal (up by 9.1% YoY), Luhansk region – 4.403 million tons (up by 11.1%), Dnipropetrovsk region – 16.742 million tons (down by 3.3%), Lviv region – 1.451 million tons (down by 19.6%), and Volyn region – 168,200 tons (down by 25.7%).
