About 60 pharmaceutical companies in Moldova and India participate in a business forum in pharmaceutical field. Following this meeting, the countries will sign cooperation agreements.
“Currently about 10% of pharmaceuticals sold in pharmacies in Moldova are imported from India, 17% are products manufactured in the country, and about 45% are pharmaceutical products imported from the EU”, deputy-chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Bilba said.
According to him, in 2015 business figure in the pharmaceutical field of the Republic of Moldova was about $310 million, and by the end of this year it is expected to increase to $320 million.
Mihai Bilba is confident that the representatives of companies from India attending the business forum will establish cooperation relations with Moldovan businessmen.
“These companies came for the first time to Moldova. They pay fact finding visits to many countries to establish partnerships”, Bilba said. (TRM/Business World Magazine)
