Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met DP World Chairman Essa Kazim in Dubai on September 9.
DP World is a Dubai-based global trade and logistics company operating in port management, freight transportation, warehousing, and logistics services.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to establish long-term business cooperation with DP World. Particular attention was given to strengthening Armenia’s position as a regional logistics and trade hub.
The parties also discussed DP World’s potential participation in the Gyumri “dry port” project, as well as prospects for developing modern warehousing and multimodal logistics infrastructure in Armenia.
Gohar Abajyan, director of the Investment Support Center Foundation, also attended the meeting.
Gevorg Papoyan also met the management of major retail chain Bluemart in Dubai. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation with Bluemart and opportunities to ensure Armenian products are represented in the retail chain’s hypermarkets. (Panam)
