Spouses Fiodor and Alexandra Stefoglo from the village of Gavanoasa, Cahul district, established a quail farm in the 2020 pandemic. The idea of this business was an older one, but it took shape thanks to a grant worth 4000 euros through the EU4Moldova: Focal Regions programme, financed by the EU and implemented by the UNDP and UNICEF.
With the help of European investments, the Stefoglos built a room in the garden of their house, where they created all the conditions to raise baby quail. Also then, the necessary equipment and technique were purchased for the launch of the business.
According to UNDP, Alexandra and Fiodor are the only ones in their region who have opened a quail farm.
Quail chicks are raised in ecological conditions and fed with corn, wheat, barley and soy, without other harmful food supplements. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
