Small startups in Georgia have been urged to submit business ideas to the latest edition of a grant programme from the country’s Innovation and Technology Agency, with the chance of gaining $56,611 in co-financing support.
GITA on February 8 announced the 10th edition of its programme for startups whose yearly total turnover did not exceed GEL 500,000 ($188,703).
Submissions for the programme, accepted on the website for the grant, will open on February 15 and will be evaluated by international experts, who will assess the projects and interview their authors.
The evaluation will be followed by a shortlist of 50 finalists, who will be invited to a five-day coaching, and will pitch their projects before an “investment committee”.
The winning startups will each receive grants of up to $56,611. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
