The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia suggested the government to zero the export duties on wheat until July 1, 2017, the head of the department of agribusiness market regulation at the Ministry of Agriculture Vladimir Volik declared.
According to him, the government will debate about the issue in the nearest weeks. It is not the cancellation of the customs duties, but zeroing of the duties until July 1, 2017.
As for grain purchasing interventions which started on August 19, Volik reported that the volume of grain purchases would not exceed 1 million tons until the end of calendar year. But the general volumes of grain interventions in 2016/2017 MY will cover nearly 2 million tons. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
