On July 29, the Government approved an Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of food safety, having been concluded on January 14 in Kyiv.
Under the agreement, the main areas of cooperation between the parties are as follows:
– Promotion of bilateral trade by simplifying procedures for import, export, transit and re-export of food products;
– Exchange of experience in the field of food safety;
– Bilateral approval of international certificates for food products.
The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection is the authority responsible for the implementation of the provisions of the agreement on behalf of Ukraine.
The implementation of the agreement will contribute to the activation and establishment of bilateral trade between Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the diversification of sales markets, the opening of new opportunities for Ukrainian business and the strengthening of ties between the two states.
