In January-September, Ukraine reduced exports of goods by 5.6%, to $35.1 billion, while imports decreased by 11.8%, to $38 billion compared to the same period in 2019, according to the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
During the first nine months of 2020, Ukraine’s imports of goods totaled over $38 billion, down by $5.1 billion (11.8%), while exports reached $35.1 billion, down by $2.1 billion (5.6%). Balance was also negative – $2.9 billion
Over the reporting period, the largest volumes of goods were imported to Ukraine from: China – $5.8 billion, Germany – $3.7 billion and Russia – $3.4 billion. The largest export deliveries of goods were made to China – $4.8 billion, Poland – $2.3 billion and Russia – $2 billion.
The main export deliveries included: grain – $6.8 billion, ferrous metals – $5.8 billion and sunflower oil – $4 billion.
As to imports, the largest volumes of goods delivered to Ukraine were mineral fuel, oil and products of its distillation – $5.7 billion, machinery, equipment and mechanical devices – $4.3 billion and vehicles – $3.8 billion. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
