During the first 6 months of 2016, the sea ports Yeysk, Kavkaz, Novorossiysk, Taman, Temryuk and Tuapse shipped for exports 474 vessels with grains and its by-products, at the volume of more than 7.4 million tons, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) declared.
In particular, the share of wheat in the general structure of grain exports from the ports reached 65%, or more than 4.8 million tons. The grain was shipped to 45 countries, while in the reporting period Egypt, Nigeria, Turkey, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon were the main countries-importers, according to the announcement.
As a reminder, in the same period of 2015 the seaports of Krasnodar Krai shipped 396 vessels and 40 containers with grain cargoes to 44 countries at 5.673 million tons, while the share of wheat reached 51% (2.929 million tons). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
