The Office of Reforms at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine together with the Finance Ministry, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the State Property Fund drafted a large-scale privatization plan that would be submitted to the government for consideration in the near future.
The project was agreed on at the second meeting of the working group on privatization, chaired by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Sayenko.
“We have an ambitious goal: to conduct transparent privatization on the most favorable terms for the budget of Ukraine. Therefore, we work together with the international experts and partners from the EU, which are taking part in the meetings of the group,” the minister noted.
The State Property Fund approved the list of small-scale privatization companies that would be sold for the first time via the transparent electronic auctions under the new rules.
As reported, the State Property Fund schedules privatization of 21 top companies in 2018, including the energy, chemical, engineering and agrarian enterprises. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
