The World Bank predicts a slight increase in GDP of Kyrgyzstan by 2019. In three years, the economy will grow by 1.3%, the regular review of the economic situation in Europe and Central Asia says.
Thus, following the results of 2017, the World Bank expects that the real GDP of Kyrgyzstan with constant market prices will grow by only 3.5%. But further growth rates will be more positive – 4.2% in 2018 and 4.8% – in 2019.
However, a growing economy will entail a rise in prices. The WB expects inflation to rise to 4% in 2018 and 2019. In 2017, prices will grow faster than the economy.
According to analysts, the level of the state debt of the country will be higher than 60% of GDP in the next two years. The indicator will make up 62.9% this year, 63.3% in 2018, and will drop to 61.5% in 2019. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
