UkraineInvest, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and TheCityUK have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance Ukraine’s institutional capacity to attract investment.
The MoU establishes cooperation among the Parties to develop and strengthen UkraineInvest’s institutional capacity to support the development of a transparent and sustainable investment promotion framework to enhance foreign direct investment including during Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction period. The parties will collaborate in support of the following areas:
– Strategic planning – collaborating in the creation of a multi-year strategic plan for developing a robust and sustainable investment promotion environment in Ukraine;
– Governance and operations – developing an action plan, governance structure, and operational and financial model to implement the strategy;
– Funding and support – supporting the development of funding proposal for potential donors and other stakeholders;
– Knowledge exchange – coordinating on exchange of experience and best practices in investment promotion system;
– Capacity building – designing and implementing training and capacity building to enhance (including but not limited to) communications, marketing, investment advisory services and analytics.
The cooperation builds on detailed analysis of international best practices and a jointly developed action plan that will be implemented in phases over 2025-2026. (Government portal)
