During the first two months of 2025, drones worth a total of $232.3 million and components for them worth $43.4 million were imported into Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine reported.
According to the report provided, in January-February, a total of 297.1 tons of unmanned aerial vehicles were imported into Ukraine for a total of $232.36 million.
In addition, during the specified period, goods under code 8807 “Parts of aircraft of commodity positions 8801, 8802 or 8806” were imported for a total price of $43.42 million.
Last year, according to the State Customs Service, drones worth $1.17 billion were imported into Ukraine and components for them – worth $134.8 million.
In 2023, imports of drones and components amounted to $440.7 million and $16.86 million, respectively.
Customs officials also reported on the volume of imported military and dual-use goods. Thus, in the first two months of this year, $817.5 million worth of such goods were brought into Ukraine against $7.03 billion in 2024 and $5.71 billion in 2023.
As noted by the State Customs Service, data on import volumes were formed based on electronic copies of customs declarations for the goods already cleared and included in statistical import reports.
Currently, the legislation provides for exemptions from customs duties for importing the said goods into the customs territory of Ukraine. (Ukrinform)
