In 2024, the budget received UAH 9.9 billion in revenues from the privatization of state-owned property. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this at a press conference on March 4.
“In 2024, Ukraine achieved record results in privatization in 10 years. The total amount of proceeds for last year amounted to UAH 9.9 billion. I would like to remind you that all auctions were held openly online with the possibility of participation not only of Ukrainians, but also of applicants from all over the world,” the Prime Minister said.
He emphasized that one of the reasons for this result was the digitalization of all privatization processes, as auctions were now held exclusively online and could be followed by anyone.
“This has completely eliminated elements of corrupt influence and deal-making. Today, privatization in Ukraine has been transformed from an excessively closed and deeply corrupt sphere into one of the most open, efficient and transparent programs coordinated by the Government of Ukraine and the State Property Fund,” Shmyhal said.
