Under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Donetsk power engineers received four units of specialised equipment – truck lifts for repairing power grids.
The equipment was purchased at the expense of Ukraine Energy Support Fund, created at the joint initiative of Ukraine’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko and European Commissioner Kadri Simson.
“The enemy is shelling the energy infrastructure of the frontline regions every day. The purchased modern special equipment will allow us to restore the networks damaged by enemy shelling faster,” said Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
The special equipment received by the power engineers has 18-metre towers and is important for off-road use due to its manoeuvrability and all-terrain capability.
The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established in spring 2022. The Fund is operated by the Energy Community Secretariat. To date, the amount of contributions to the Energy Support Fund (announced and already transferred) has increased to more than EUR 494 million. (Government portal)
