The team of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development is working comprehensively to provide logistics for medical evacuation: from urgent repairs of frontline roads and the construction of crossings to the creation of special medical evacuation trains.
The medical trolleys were built in a matter of days in early March. Over the past two years, 62 medical cars have been delivered, and another 8 will be added until the end of the year. The last 4 cars for the needs of the Armed Forces were transformed from passenger cars at the railway’s facilities a month ago.
“The cars are equipped with a new generation of medical equipment that allows not only transportation but also treatment during evacuation. It is partly purchased by Ukrzaliznytsia and partly with the help of international partners, volunteers and philanthropists from Ukraine. We are cooperating with different countries and increasing the assistance provided! At the same time, we see prospects for running medical carriages not only from the frontline to rear hospitals. We are technically ready to launch the cars to and across the border for the treatment and rehabilitation of our soldiers. We are working with partners to implement this,” commented Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
