Public lighting systems were modernized in 52 localities throughout the country. The investments were made within the European Express Village Program.
An example in this sense is the rehabilitation of the public lighting system in the village of Cozesti, Sangerei district. With an investment of 350 thousand lei (17.5 thousand euros) from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, about 20 state-of-the-art lighting fixtures were installed.
In Risipeni, Falesti district, the program increased the coverage of streets with public lighting by over 2.5 km. The government allocated about 364 thousand lei for these facilities.
Also, in Ciuciuleni, Hancesti district, works were carried out to restore the public street lighting electrical networks. Here, the number of final beneficiaries of the public service increased to 634 inhabitants, and the share of street lighting coverage in the locality reached from 59% to 82%. This infrastructure improvement was achieved with an investment of approximately 230 thousand lei.
At the same time, in Niscani, Calarasi district, 25 pylons with state-of-the-art lamps were installed over a distance of almost one kilometer. The value of the project reached 325 thousand lei.
The European Express Village program includes 399 projects, of which 271 have been completed. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
