There are currently 330,000 freelancers operating in Poland, up by 8% YoY, a report by a freelance platform has claimed.
The report compiled by a freelance platform Useme entitled “Freelancing in Poland 2023” shows that almost half of independent professionals are people aged 26-35, living in large urban centres and for almost 60% of respondents freelancing is an additional source of income.
“There are currently 330,000 freelance professionals in our market, up by 8.3%,” said Natalia Zielinska, the report’s author. “We forecast that this trend will continue and that the growth rate of this market will remain at a similar level.”
According to the research, freelancing in Poland is popular among both men and women. Freelancers most often choose to work from home (90% of those surveyed) and working on assignments usually takes them less than four hours a day (48.5%).
The report was compiled in June on a sample of 1,110 Polish freelancers by Useme, an invoicing platform for freelancers based in Wroclaw. The survey of the freelancing market in Poland has been conducted annually since 2017. (PAP/Business World Magazine)
