On May 11, Ukraine received financing from the World Bank in the amount of $132 million.
The loan funds were transferred to the general fund of the State Budget of Ukraine as a result of the implementation of measures provided within the framework of the Acceleration of Private Investments in the Agriculture of Ukraine Program.
“We are grateful to the World Bank for financing. The raised funds will allow us to continue maintaining the financial stability of Ukraine and to reimburse priority expenditures, in particular in the agricultural sector, which will have an impact on the food industry and food security of Ukraine,” said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.
The loan was granted within the framework of the Loan Agreement (Acceleration of Private Investments in the Agriculture of Ukraine Program) between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
