Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Simonyte, on a working visit to Chisinau, at a meeting have discussed the subject on measures of enhancing Moldova’s resilience, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions were focused on the concrete actions undertaken by the authorities, in order to diminish the effects of the energy crisis, triggered by the war in Ukraine and to ensure the continuous supply of the citizens with electric energy, thermal energy and natural gas. The officials considered also the measures of energy efficiency implemented, as well as the projects on the use of renewable energy.
“We will overcome this complicated period and will become more resilient, as well as stronger following this winter,” Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.
The parties also tackled the subject on the progress made by Moldova in the carrying out of the European integration, as well as the priorities of the country in its capacity of candidate for accession to EU.
Ingrida Simonyte said that Lithuania would continue backing Moldova in the European integration process and would provide every assistance needed, so that the country successfully overcomes the crises, which hit the region. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
