Moldovan wineries were invited to attend the Vinitaly exhibition in Verona (Italy). The invitation was given at a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) with the participation of head of Veronafiere Exhibition Center Matjaz Zigon and Italian Ambassador to Chisinau Lorenzo Tomassoni.
Italian officials have communicated the opportunities and conditions for participation in the event in the wine sector, Vinitaly, due in Verona on April 2-5, 2023. The exhibition annually gathers tens of thousands of visitors, where the exhibitors’ offers are explored worldwide. Also, the Italian side emphasized that it wanted to develop economic and cultural relations with Moldova, including the creation of preferential conditions for Moldovan winemakers.
MAIA State Secretary Sergiu Gherciu reiterated the idea that exhibitions were a suitable platform for promoting companies and the country’s image, with opportunities to launch new negotiations between commercial operators, as well as expanding the possibilities to increase exports.
The parties agreed to organize masterclass programs to facilitate the presentation of products and the transfer of knowledge and technologies between winemakers. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
