Georgia received $387.2 million from abroad in September, up by 84.6% YoY, the national bank of Georgia said on October 17.
Russia ($173.94 million), Italy ($36.29 million) and the United States ($28.68 million) were the largest remittance senders last month.
Overall, the vast majority (97.5%) of all money transfers from abroad came from 23 countries.
Last month, remittances leaving Georgia totaled $32 million, as compared to $29.2 million in September 2021. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
