Current and planned reforms in Georgia and the importance of the financial support of the European Investment Bank were discussed on October 12 in a meeting between the Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and Maciej Czura, the head of the EIB regional representation for the South Caucasus.
The meeting underlined the importance of the financial support of the bank in implementation of domestic reforms and development of “priority sectors” in Georgia, the government administration said.
The officials noted the cooperation with the EIB was “important” not only in terms of joint large investment projects, but also in the context of Georgia’s integration into the European Union.
The meeting also emphasised that the continued implementation of reforms was the “only way” for Georgia to overcome challenges. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
